Business Needs

Following the 2021 post-lockdown surge in car sales—an increase of over 3,000%—the automotive sector faced an unprecedented rise in demand for inspections and vehicle collection services.

Consumers were increasingly turning to short-term hire, placing further strain on inspection capacity and logistics. VQS needed a trusted technology partner capable of helping them scale operations nationally, without compromising speed, accuracy, or client experience.

Solutions

Building on a longstanding partnership that began in 2007, TAAP and VQS collaborated to create BOPS – the Business Operations Platform, powered by TAAP’s advanced no-code technology. BOPS became the central nervous system of VQS’s operations, integrating inspections, collections, call centre management, and logistics into a single, cohesive platform.

The system digitised every stage of the process, from Excel imports and postcode validation to vehicle registration lookups, route planning via Bing Maps, and client-specific inspection forms. Embedded business intelligence tools enabled real-time reporting, financial management, and a client-facing portal, giving stakeholders instant access to their assets and performance data.
